HOW DID YOU GET INTO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

 

Honestly, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t taking pictures.  It seems like there was a camera in my hands almost before I could walk.  My grandfather and my mum (pardon the English) were constantly taking pictures, so photography was everywhere.  During college, I took a number of photography classes, studied the technical side of the art, but never dreamed that one day I’d be shooting weddings professionally.  It wasn’t until my own nuptials that I became interested in wedding photography as a profession.

 

I started my career with engagement photos, and then a good friend asked me if I’d take her wedding pictures.  I reluctantly agreed, had a great time, and soon after… other people wanted me for their weddings.   And my business has happily snowballed from there…

 

WILL THERE BE ENOUGH TO GET ALL OF THE PICTURES ON MY ‘WISH LIST’?

 

Organization is the key to everything running smoothing on you big day.  That’s why I work with the each couple on a photographic timeline, wanted group shots, etc.  I also take the time of sunset into consideration.  The “golden hour” is my FAV time to photograph the bride and groom. Your wedding day should be all about the celebration of two people, not wondering if the photographer has taken all of the pictures you wanted.

 

WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE?

 

That’s an important question when choosing a photographer.  Simply put, I love to capture you and your loved ones as you are… in those beautiful “real” moments… in a breathtaking images that will stand the test of time.  What sets my wedding photographer apart is my ability to put my wedding couples at ease… to free them up to be themselves and have fun.  It makes all of the difference in the world.

 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME DURING THE WEDDING?

 

If I had to pick one moment, which isn’t easy, my favorite time is when I can spend a few minutes with our newly minted married couple immediately following the ceremony.  I only need about 10 minutes to capture some truly wonderful, exciting photos.  I’m really capturing history in the making… the first few moments as a married couple!   LOVE IT!

 

DO YOU CARRY INSURANCE?

 

Absolutely! Some wedding venues require vendors to provide a certificate of liability, so just let me know if that’s a requirement.

 

HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION WITH YOU?

 

Just reach out and let’s schedule a meeting, or phone consultation to see if we are a good, mutual fit. When you are ready to reserve your date, just give me a call or shoot me an email and we will set you up!  You’ll be assigned your own client portal where everything related to your session is clearly displayed.  You can conveniently sign our photography agreement and pay the deposit directly through your portal… in as little as 5 minutes!

 

DO I HAVE TO DECIDE ON A PACKAGE RIGHT NOW?

 

Not at all… All I require to reserve your wedding date is a 50% fee and a signed contract. You are welcomed to make changes to your invoice up until 10 days before the wedding when the balance is due.

 

HOW LONG AFTER MY SESSION WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

 

Your Wedding Galleries will be delivered 4-6 weeks after the wedding, while engagement sessions are delivered within 2-3 weeks after your session.

 

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

 

The number of images that you will receive depends on your length of coverage. You can expect to receive 50+ images per hour of coverage, 400+ images from a 6-8-hour wedding.  As I’m sure you’ll agree, quality is more important that quantity.

 

WILL MY WEDDING IMAGES BE EDITED AND RETOUCHED?

 

All the images that we deliver will be corrected for cropping, color, density, etc. My post processing style is natural.  (I don't believe in overly photoshopping images). I do spend additional time retouching portraits.  I also offer more extensive retouching services at an additional cost if requested.

 

DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?

 

Yes, redundancy is important, so I have all of the backup equipment I need for any unforeseen situation that arises!

DO YOU HAVE A 2ND SHOOTER?

Unless you’re planning a multi-day wedding encompassing several venues, and a football stadium full of attendees, I’ve never found a need for a second photographer.  Through preparation, pre-planning and creating a photographic timeline, I can exceed your expectations and capture all of the pictures on your “wish list.”  Of course, if you would like a second photographer, one can be arranged for an additional cost.
